In April 2008, the Wall Street Journal ran an editorial that uncritically accepted Chevron's misleading account of the litigation against it in Ecuador. Later, the Journal printed several rebuttals defending the legitimacy of the Ecuadorian legal process and the veracity of the evidence against Chevron.
