Press conference with Santiago Escobar, the childhood friend of Chevron operative Diego Borja. Escobar taped six hours of phone conversations with Borja who admitted he had evidence of Chevron's misconduct during the trial, including tampering with evidence. Borja said he possessed information that would result in Chevron's losing the case. He threatened to expose the oil giant if high-level company executives did not pay him appropriately for the sting operation he conducted against one of the Ecuadorian judges.
