Chevron Test Results From Ecuador Court Record

1 May 2014

Below are test results taken by Chevron's independent experts and submitted to an Ecuador court. They show extensive contamination of the environment with toxic chemicals and metals resulting from Chevron's oil exploration. Tests from well sites Sacha 94 and Sacha 57, included below, also reveal illegal contamination at well sites that Texaco claimed to have cleaned in a 1995 remediation agreement with the Republic of Ecuador (Chevron bought Texaco in 2001). Chevron has argued in Ecuador and U.S. courts that the remediation agreement releases the company from any liability. The Ecuadorians argue the agreement did not release the oil giant, but even if it had, Chevron's own test results show that the remediation itself was inadequate at best and, most likely, fraudulent.
